The challenge: The challenge: to deploy, run and manage complex infrastructures - 4000 + physical servers spread across 10
locations - efficiently and to control spiralling support and maintenance costs and to increase revenue.

The solution: After an extensive review of the banks IT assets, our consultants design and implemented a solution that consolidated
server counts from 4000 physical servers to 200 virtual servers using VMware ESX virtualisation software.

The result: This delivered £3M+ savings in support and maintenance costs across the bank. The bank's IT infrastructure's ability to
react and support business growth was also dramatically increased. Our consultants also put in place a number of IT management
processes (Asset management, change management, service delivery..) in order for the IT infrastructure team to better manage
their IT estate.
